Rhyan Hitalla is a seasoned healthcare leader with more than 22 years of nursing experience, specializing in wound care, ostomy, and medical-surgical nursing. He currently serves as the Senior Business Development Manager for the Philippines at Smith & Nephew, where he drives strategic growth and clinical partnerships in advanced wound management. Prior to joining Smith & Nephew, Rhyan headed the Stoma & Complex Wound Care Center at The Medical City, where he spearheaded clinical innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care. He has also been a lecturer at Centro Escolar University, shaping the next generation of nurses in advanced wound and ostomy practice. Internationally certified as a Certified Enterostomal Therapist (WCET), Rhyan is recognized for his contributions in clinical training, wound care innovations, and healthcare leadership. He has held key positions in professional associations, including National & Founding President of the Ostomy Nurses Association of the Philippines (OsNAP), and is an active member of the Philippine Wound Care Society, ASEAN Wound Council, and the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists. Rhyan has been honored for his leadership in wound care innovations and continues to champion evidence-based practice, clinical education, and sustainable wound care models across the region.
