Ms. Joylyn Llamado Mejilla is a seasoned nurse educator and academic leader with over 20 years of experience in nursing education, clinical instruction, and research. She is currently the Assistant to the Dean for Instruction at the Centro Escolar University – School of Nursing, where she contributes significantly to curriculum development, outcomes-based education, and flexible learning. She earned her Master of Arts in Nursing from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and an Executive MBA from Centro Escolar University. She is also completing her Ph.D. in Educational Management at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas. Her earlier professional experience includes serving as a staff nurse at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute and as a training coordinator in community health programs. Ms. Mejilla has authored research on diabetes education, palliative care, maternal-child health, and nursing education innovations, with publications in local and international journals. She is a trained Diabetes Nurse Educator, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, and has held leadership roles in the Philippine Association of Diabetes Care and Education Nurse Specialists and the Philippine Association of Diabetes Educators. Her expertise centers on nursing education, diabetes care, and academic leadership, mentoring faculty and students in research, practice, and community engagement.
