Yuwadee Kestsumpun is the President of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Association of Thailand and a recognized leader in advancing specialized nursing care. She received her Certificate in Enterostomal Therapy in 1995 from the R.B. Turnbull, Jr. School of Enterostomal Therapy, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. This training laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to wound and ostomy care. Over the past three decades, Yuwadee has led national initiatives to adapt international guidelines on pressure injury and ostomy care to Thailand, promoted specialized credentialing for nurses, and developed sustainable clinic models that integrate compassion with modern technology. Her work emphasizes innovation, peer support, and patient empowerment, ensuring that individuals living with ostomies have both the knowledge and confidence to lead meaningful lives. Internationally, she actively contributes to collaborations across the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing the transformative role of nursing leadership in shaping policy, practice, and education. At GWC 2025, she will share her vision for “Transforming Ostomy Care Through Innovation and Patient Empowerment.”
