As a vascular surgeon, I have a broad background in non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with specific training and expertise in diabetes especially venous leg ulcer, diabetic foot and peripheral arterial disease. As PI or Co-Investigator on several university and Thai Government funded grants, I laid the groundwork for the research by developing effective measures including rehabilitaion in venous leg ulcer healing, education (self-foot care) for reducing major amputations and major cardiovascular diseases (CVD) such as myocardial infarction and stroke in diabetic patients.
