Nicola Waters Canada

Nicola Waters PhD MSc. (Wound Healing and Tissue Repair) RN Dr. Nicola Waters is a Registered Nurse with wound-related experience in clinical practice, education, industry and research. Nicola is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing at The University of British Columbia Okanagan, Canada. She completed a MSc. in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair at Cardiff University and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Cardiff program. Nicola holds a PhD from the University of Calgary. Her research areas of interest include the psychosocial impact of chronic wounds and the social organization of advanced wound care practice. Nicola was previously secretary of Wounds Canada and a past member of the speakers’ bureau and Board of Directors of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC). She is a current board member of the International Wound Infection Institute and serves as peer reviewer for several wound care journals.
