Emily Haesler
Professor Emily Haesler, PhD, Post Grad Dip Adv Nurs (Gerontics), BN, FWA Emily is Adjunct Professor with the Wound Management and Healing (WHAM) Collaborative at Curtin University, an Adjunct Associate Professor of Aged Care at La Trobe University, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Australian National University. She is an active Committee member for the International Wound Infection Institute (IWII) and the World Alliance for Wound and Lymphoedema Care, and a Wounds Australia Fellow. Emily’s research interests include research methodology, particularly in evidence-based clinical guidelines, consensus methods and qualitative research. She has specific interest and expertise in wound-related research, consumer engagement, evidence reviews, social network analysis, translational research, accreditation and auditing, and education for healthcare professionals, including those working in middle-and low-resource contexts. She is the methodologist and Editor in Chief for the International Pressure Injury Guideline, the Pan Pacific Venous Leg Ulcer Guideline and the International Ostomy Guideline, all currently in development. Emily was the methodologist for the IWII’s 2022 Consensus Document, including the formal Delphi process that was undertaken to reach agreement on infection-related terminology.
