Dr Patricia Paskalia Maharani B. P. obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Being independent and adventure loving, brought Dr Pat – as her clients often call – to go pursue her carrier at Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia away from her hometown. As an expatriate from a young age and her ability to adapt, her passion as a veterinarian is to save lives, especially for the ones those unable to defend for themselves. She has profound interest in wound care for animals, education and advocating for zoonotic diseases, and still eager to join volunteering program especially helping stray animals.
Wound care for animals, zoonotic disease such as rabies, conducting talk for public awareness for the possible animals-human-animals disease transmission, and many more are the specialty of Dr Pat. She sees, consults, and provides treatment to animals that needed help all over Sarawak and Indonesia.
Her role model, her late father, always wants her to be able to teach and share to other people about her passion and expertise. In her spare time, she tries to write more paper and publication about wound care in animals and been published in numbers of international conferences and platforms.
